curriculum

The curriculum that is provided by the National Education became our guide in making and preparing lesson plans. At first I had a hard time, since I was not really used to their curriculum, although it is kind of similar it still gave off a different vibe. It was hard to follow, but as I got on with my practicum journey in Indonesia, I got how it works and I can say that it is also like the one in our own country. With the help of the teachers in my cooperating school, they were able to teach us how to integrate activities in their daily lessons. I try to connect my lessons with the curriculum to help target the holistic development of the students intended for their level. They are provided various activities that they can integrated in their lessons. They always have hands-on activities that improve and develop the skills of the students.

teaching plan

Preparing and making the lesson plan is kind of similar to how I used to make lesson plans in my former cooperating schools because some of the content of the lesson plans are the same. When I prepare for my lesson, I always make sure that my execution is always student-centered and that it is really engaging so that the students won't get bored and that they would learn to love learning. In thinking of activities for my lessons, I patterned it to how their teachers did their lesson, so that they won't be too shocked. I made use of instructional materials that helped me in delivering my lesson well, and I made my instructional materials engaging so that it would increase the students' participation. For the topics that I taught, I made sure that teaching some of the core values are also integrated because that is very important. I see to it that that every student would have the opportunity to develop and enhance their gross and fine motor skills, cognitive, emotional and moral skills. I also provided materials where I can assess and evaluate my students if they understood the lesson well.
